Scholastic Fall Book Fairs at Concord & Kennerly were Awesome
Kennerly held its Scholastic fall bookfair in late October. Concord held theirs in early December. Both fairs were a huge success thanks to the support of our wonderful parents and students. We were able to add a large number of new and exciting titles to both libraries. Thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers for all of their hard work.

Hawaiian Tale
3rd graders at Concord and Kennerly presented the Hawaiin folk tale "Punia and the King of Sharks" They performed the readers theater for 2nd graders.

Happy February!
Mercy pediatric cardiologist visited Kennerly Elementary for heart healthy month. Cardiology Nurse Karen brought a large model of the heart, students had many questions!

Looking into the Myth
4th graders are studying Greek Myths. After hearing about their origins, students will study some of the most popular characters and their stories. We will celebrate the end of the study with a live Reader's Theater.

Welcome Back!
January is a great time to reconnect with great stories. Snowflake Bentley by Jacqueline Briggs Martin is favorite wintertime story that makes you wish for snow. This quarter I will be working with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. More to come in the following days.
